Runners, walkers, families and friends of all ages are invited to participate in the 22nd annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run on Saturday, February 28, 2009. This tradition, which raises scholarship funds for Texas youth, will once again lead the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ (HLSR) Parade past thousands of cheering spectators in downtown Houston.

Last year, more than 8,500 participants took part in the Rodeo Run, raising $220,000 for the HLSR Educational Fund. Since the race began in 1988, the company has raised more than $2 million for the benefit of the college scholarship fund.

Runners and walkers will experience Houston’s only point-to-point 10K race and 5K fun run/walk in a festive atmosphere that celebrates the city’s western heritage. A combination of Texas flavor and hospitality, along with a Texas-sized post-race party, makes the event one of the most popular and memorable races in the region.
Participants will have the opportunity to win thousands of dollars worth of giveaways, including Continental Airlines tickets.
